Everyone needs to be soooo for real this season.
WARNING: ‘Love Is Blind’ spoilers ahead. Proceed with caution.

I just got caught up on Love Is Blind season 6. Let's talk about it.
Season 5 of LIB was complete chaos, leaving many viewers wondering whether to brave the storm or seek shelter. I decided that for my wellbeing I should opt out this season believing not a glimpse of sunlight would be shown on the horizon. However, as soon as I was content with my decision, Tiktoker @storytimewithrikki popped up, and fate had other plans. She delved into the latest scandal of the season. And let me tell you, I have no regrets about diving back into the storm.
After a thorough review of my impassioned notes in the angry depths of my iPhone's notes app, I realized that this season demanded discussion. So here are my top thoughts on the season.

Clay and that wedding scene
Divine order, divine order, divine order
Clay, I was rooting for you.
The moment Clay graced the screen, I couldn’t help but notice how highly attractive this man was. My initial thought was simply “This man is so fine”. However, as the story unfolded, so did the warning signs.
It all began with Clay’s discussions about his father’s infidelity. Throughout the episodes Clay repeatedly brings up the incidents of his father's infidelity, even being involved in the “infidelity trips''.
Each time Clay brought up the topic, it felt like he was issuing a caution to his partner, Amber or AD as if forewarning of future betrayal. An inevitability. Constantly having fear of becoming like his father.
While Clay was holding back AD persisted forward. Continually she reassured him of her love and will to fight for him which briefly seemed to relieve Clay’s thoughts.
Then came the wedding day. AD looked beautiful while confidently striding down to the altar without her beloved father by her side. The two stood at the altar constantly complimenting and cheesing at one another. Clay cheesing is the hardest. AD gives the expected “I do”. And then it's Clay's turn.
“AD I love you. But I don’t believe it’ll be responsible for me to say ‘I do’” Clay stated.
My heart dropped. The mood of the whole wedding shifted. Social media viewers could feel the sadness overcoming them. Even though we can all agree the decision he made was for the betterment of the two, the pain continued.

Clay’s Parents: Trevor and Margarita
In the words of my best friend “My meow meow (heart) hurts”
The scene that broke my heart the most after that wedding was the conversation between Clay’s parents, Trevor and Margarita.
They discussed the problems of their relationship interfering with the growth of Clay in his romantic relationships. Margarita also pushes Trevor to have a serious conversation and issue an apology to his son due to his acts of infidelity. It's here we see his father begin to crumble, explaining never had a good role model himself. Yet, when the camera pans to Margarita, she looks frustrated. A look that can be recognized by anyone who has experienced constant heartbreak from a partner.
He smirks while saying “Tell him to meet somebody like his mom” giving a light chuckle to ease the moment. She replied “Yeah, but you met me, but you weren't good to me” closing the conversation.
To see a woman, specifically a black woman, being candid in her emotions to the man who wronged her truthfully sent me to tears. It reminded me of my mother and the resilience she had during her previous marriages. Constantly going through the ups and downs, continuously having love for them, but recognizing the treatment received in return is not something to easily pass over.
Moral of the story: Clay messed up big time and Margarita is the MVP of the season.

Kenneth sweetie, put down the phone
The phone would’ve been smashed in milliseconds.
To be frank, Kenneth’s behavior rubbed me the wrong way.
At first, their relationship seemed drama-free, aside from some awkward moments during their Dominican Republic getaway. However, things took a turn once they returned to their regular lives in Charlotte.
It seemed like as soon as Kenneth got his hand on his phone, he couldn’t put it down. Every scene with the couple showed Brittany trying to engage in conversation while Kenneth was more interested in his device.
During a pivotal conversation that ultimately led to ending their relationship, two things stood out to me. Firstly, Kenneth's constant phone use. It felt like he never had an interest in Brittany outside of their time in the pods. Anytime he picked up his device I wondered “What is so important on this man's phone”.
Second, there was the incident where Kenneth came home at 1 a.m. expecting... to do the do. Britanny explained she needed rest for her 5:30 a.m. shift. But, instead of understanding, Kenneth turned the blame on to her lack of affection. As a viewer this had me confused. Throughout the time of the couple being together Brittany had continuously given signs of attempting to spark some form of connection whether that be physical or emotional. Despite a seemingly cordial ending with a hug, I stand firmly with #TeamBrittany moving forward.

Birth control anyone?
Do condoms not exist?
Amy and Johnny emerged as one of the standout couples of Love Is Blind season 6. Showcasing a genuine connection and overflow of cuteness. But why was the conversation about birth control such a recurring topic?
While it’s understandable to prioritize living in the moment and avoiding the responsibility of children, the frequency of their discussions about birth control seemed a bit excessive. Particularly concerning was Johnny’s expectation for Amy to already be on birth control, mentioning his past girlfriends’ usage.
Ladies and gents, let’s not forget that condoms are still readily available.

Jeramey, Laura, and Sarah Ann
Talking? At five a.m.? In a club parking lot?
This one right here GAGGED ME.
In the pods, Jeramey Lutinski found connections with both Laura Dadisman and Sarah Ann.
Towards the end of their time in the pods, I was sure that he was going to pick Sarah Ann over Laura. Especially after calling Laura by Sarah Ann’s name while on a pod date.
After proposing to Laura, their couple’s getaway started well, with mutual attraction and shared humor. But soon, laughter turned to arguments. The first clash arose from Laura’s joke about Bean dipping AD. To nobody’s surprise, none of the parties involved saw the amusement in the joke (including me). Once a bandaid was placed on that issue, Sarah Ann slid into Jeramey’s DMs, stirring up trouble.
Sarah Ann’s meddling escalated when she and Jeramey met secretly outside a club until the early hours of five in the morning. In the aftermath, Laura ended the relationship, and Jeramey’s mother wasn’t afraid to confirm his mistake, siding with Laura’s valid reaction.
During the next interaction, the air between the two is icy with neither willing to budge. Enter Sarah Ann, facing questions from friend AD, who voiced what we were all thinking.
The tension reached its peak as Sarah Ann defensively walked off, only to be met by Jeramey at the pier. The whole scene was a mess. From the conversation to the both of them hopping onto a jet ski in front of Laura. At the end, Laura’s resilience shines through, and I have no doubt she’ll handle Sarah Ann at the reunion.
As the clock ticks closer to the reunion, I can’t help but feel a mix of nerves and excitement. Love is Blind season 6 has been… interesting. Tonight’s reunion promises to be the perfect conclusion to this unforgettable journey. Let the drama unfold, and may the truth of what happened at 5 a.m. come to light.
